Elizabeth Marie Young is a poet and classicist working on her PhD in Comparative Literature at UC Berkeley. She is currently working on several poetry books, most with very long titles, but also including a concisely-titled collaborative fantasy epic, Elfpit (with Trane DeVore). She is also writing a dissertation on Catullus and lyric translation called "The Hun at Play Among the Ruins: Catullan Translation and Lyric Barbarism". She was a finalist for this year's National Poetry Series award and her work has recently appeared in Fulcrum, New American Writing, The Poker, Pool, Traffic, Viz and (of course) Xantippe. |
